The Normal Christian

*lifeonline

As normal Christians we all desire to spend regular time with Jesus. Many times life can get crazy, and the next thing we know, we find ourselves trying to live life with God on the go. The Lord desires to spend time with us. He’s jealous for us. He would like our undivided attention.

This week, Tom encourages us to evaluate our days and make sure we are staying connected to the One who made us. We were created by Him and for Him!

Let’s spend time with our loving Father this week. He longs to spend time with us!

You really matter to us. God bless your week!

This episode is 6 minutes and 33 seconds in length.

This little guy absolutely loves to read books. He’s pretty cute too! But then again I’m his Dad:)

Jeremiah Zurowski makes a joyful noise…

Jeremiah is learning some new musical skills. I particularly like the zeal (a true Zurowski) with the shaker. I don’t think any churches will be calling him to be the worship leader any time soonJ

Kid’s Corner… GRN just for kids!

This month we are starting something new at GRN.

For those of you who receive our free monthly newsletter, you will find another newsletter with it. The newsletter is called Kid’s Corner and is a new monthly publication of GRN. (To receive GRN’s newsletter, please give us your mailing address in the “comment” section of this post and we will add you to our mailing list)

For those of you that don’t have children, we encourage you to pass Kid’s Corner on to your niece or nephew, grandchild, neighbor, or Sunday school teachers.

Also, we have created a new website to accompany Kid’s Corner (www.grnkidscorner.wordpress.com). The website has the same name and is an online companion to the newsletter. On this site, children will find Bible lessons, inspiring thoughts, crafts, Videos, and all sorts of fun activities to encourage them to live for Jesus.

Have a great day!

Thank God it’s Friday?

“Get me out of this place!” Twenty years ago, this was my slogan. Whether I was working construction, stocking shelves at the grocery store, or twisting wires at my electrical job. I started my day thinking about what I would do when I got out of work, rather than what I would do at work. Three statements usually crossed my lips on any given day, they were, “What time is it?, I can’t wait till Friday!,  and Another day… another dollar.”

Needless to say, I wasn’t much of a company man. I remember whining about my paycheck and the overtime I “had” to work. Boy was I a piece of work! Instead of appreciating the fact that I had a job, I would gripe about the job I had. I was a clock punching, long break taking, paycheck grumbling, I’m doing them a favor, something for nothing kind of guy.

It was no wonder I didn’t get bonuses and raises like the “boss’ boys” I worked with. You now the type, they get to work early and leave late. They smile a lot and act thankful. They talk about the boss like he or she is a real human being. They volunteer for overtime when the company is in a pinch. They work holidays and don’t call in sick. The only time they watch the clock is to make sure they don’t over extend their lunch break. They work as though someone has done them a favor by giving them a job.

Looking back on my past employment, I pity my bosses. I thank God that I’m not the person I used to be. The Bible makes it clear that we are to do everything as though we were doing it for the Lord Himself. Excellence is one of the most basic characteristics of any follower of Jesus. We should work harder than anyone else and do it joyfully. For the Christian, our boss is God, we work for His kingdom, and our delight is to gladly represent Him wherever He has placed us.

The next time you get to work early and someone scoffs at you, just tell them you are one of the Boss’ boys (or girls) and that you can’t think of anyplace else you would rather be, than in this place working for Him.

Too bad Friday came around so soon!

SudanPlease Pray For Revival!

We apologize for the poor quality of this picture

Dear friends,

Many of you have followed the rebirth of The Loka Senior Secondary School ( The Nugent School) with us for many years. GRN continues to press on in this very challenging, yet life changing project. Currently we are renovating two dormitories, but the greatest need we have is that of spiritual awakening.

For many years, this part of Sudan was a hub of spiritual activity. Those days have long past and the need for revival is critical. We are praying that the school will be a light house for the gospel and a launching pad for missionaries that will carry Jesus to this war torn country and around the world. We are asking God for Spirit filled leaders to arise from the ashes and take hope to the cities, towns, villages, and bush land of this great country.

Many people died as martyrs in Sudan as they proclaimed the name of Jesus to their own countrymen. We have personally met scores of people in Sudan who have lost loved ones due to preaching the gospel. Our desire is to see a generation rise up and take the place of these courageous saints.

Would you please stand with us as we believe God for an outpouring of His Spirit upon the students and teachers at the Loka Senior Secondary School?

Thank you!
