Road Trip

On Tuesday July 31, 2007, the Zurowski family will be headed to Kentucky. While on the trip they will be getting some long over due family time together as well as connecting with our extended GRN family. Tom and Elli will be spending quality time with GRN’s board members. These times together always prove to be inspiring and motivating both for the Zurowski’s and the GRN family.

This trip will also include dropping Megan Zurowski off at Dr. and Mrs. Darrell Bartley’s (GRN board member) house. Megan will be spending a month in Somerset as she works in Dr. Bartley’s office. She is believing that God is going to use this  time to help her with her personal developement as a Christian and as a young woman. Please remember Megan in your prayers.

Also, the Zurowski’s will be in Georgetown, KY to spend time with personal friends and encourage the GRN family there. As many of you know, Georgetown holds a special place in the Zurowski’s heart.

Please remember the whole GRN family in your prayers this week. Thank you!

Puppies

I’m posting this video to let you know that we have puppies for sale. The money will go to Megan to help her pay for Bible school courses (Correspondence). Enjoy the video, it may just help to bring a smile to your face.

Blind Spots

Have you ever looked at a person and thought to yourself, “Wow, don’t they realize how silly they look?” Or, “Don’t they realize that what they are doing is only pushing people away?” Or, “Can’t they see the direction their kids are headed?”

Well, someone once said that being critical is a cheap gift. We agree, but have you tried looking critically at yourself lately? This can be beneficial as we strive to be more like Jesus, however the only problem is that sometimes we don’t think there is anything wrong with us! We are blind to our own shortcomings…we have “blind spots.”

Try this exercise: Find three to five people who you know love you and desire the best for your life and ask them to reveal one positive thing about you, and also one negative thing. Promise yourself not to get offended, these people love you!

You might be surprised by what they say. Maybe you will find similarities in their responses. If you do, celebrate the transformation God has done in you, and then develop a plan to achieve success in the less atractive areas of your life. Remember that whatever plan you decide on to help you overcome your weaknesses, it must involve people. We need people’s input. We need friends to journey through life with. You + The Holy Spirit + People = Your best you.

God moved in Batavia, NY…

We would like to thank everyone who prayed for Tom as he ministered in Batavia, NY on Sunday. Tom spoke on Simple Devotion to Christ, and many people were drawn by the Spirit closer to the Lord Jesus. Lives were changed even as people lingered in God’s presence after the service, receiving prayer from both Tom and his friend, Pastor Marty Macdonald.

God is using the GRN family (which includes all of our partners) to see lives changed for His glory! Your prayers matter…thank you for being a part of the miraculous!

GRN delegate returns from Pakistan

This past Saturday morning (1:00am), Tim Archer returned safely from Pakistan. As many of you know, Pakistan had truly heated up with violence due to a clash in Islamabad. The whole country felt the ripple effects, which made things pretty tense for all of our contacts there.

Thank you for praying for Tim while he was gone. God still answers prayers!
